Why We Made This

Summer flips the problem. We spent two years engineering layers that keep heat in, then watched our dog scramble a July ridge with sun overhead, hot rock underfoot, and no way to shed the load. A dog cools almost entirely by panting, they do not sweat the way we do. The fix we kept coming back to on trail was the simplest one: water plus moving air. The Cooling Bandana makes that fix wearable. Soaked to saturation at a crossing, it keeps pulling heat off the neck through the next stretch of exposed trail, then re-arms at the next creek.

Materials & Construction

Polartec Delta: the same fabric as our Cooling Shirt. Delta is knit with an elevated structure that increases airflow across wet fabric and prolongs evaporative cooling, instead of clinging flat and going warm the way a soaked cotton bandana does. Re-soak on trail as often as water allows; A dry cooling bandana is just a bandana.

Sizing

Two sizes, measured on the long side: Small is 19" and Large is 30". Measure your dog's neck circumference where the collar sits, using a soft tape with 2 fingers of slack, and pick the size that leaves enough length beyond that measurement to tie off. If your dog is between sizes, size up. Tied, the bandana should sit snug enough to keep the wet fabric against the coat without restricting the throat.
